Pakistani intelligence report reveals bin Laden killed

WASHINGTON: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has revealed that the Pakistani intelligence agency has cooperated with the US over al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

Pakistan has so far said that there is no official information about where bin Laden lived in Pakistan. Bin Laden was killed in a raid on May 9 by US forces entering Pakistan.
Pakistan and the United States have long been in dispute over US secrecy. Pakistan has been accusing the US of violating its sovereignty.

Pakistani physician Shakeel Afridi discovered the place where Laden was staying in the name of the vaccination campaign. Pakistan has imprisoned the same doctor Afridi for alleged seditious acts.
In an interview to Fox News in the US, Khan said, "The issue of leaving Shakeel is very emotional because Shakil is viewed as a spy in Pakistan.

We consider America as a collaborative country. Had we given the information, we would have had Osama bin Laden take US responsibility at that time. '
The Pakistani intelligence agency acknowledged that the US military had arrived at the site where bin Laden had stayed. He also claimed that the ISI had made the call to the US intelligence agency. Prime Minister Khan did not elaborate on when, where and how the Pakistani intelligence agency was informed.

In an interview with al-Jazeera, former intelligence officer Asad Durani claimed ISIS had information about bin Laden's hideout.
However, Pakistan has been claiming that there is no formal information about bin Laden. On September 7, the main accused in the US Twin Towers attack was killed in Abbottabad, near Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

The US had put all its powers to arrest Laden. He is believed to have fled to Pakistan only after the US invaded Afghanistan in the 5th.
Osama had been living in Abbottabad since August 1. The US was accusing Laden of being patronized by Pakistani intelligence agencies and the military.
